Miles Report No. 43 - Stephen Harper - fascist hero
Congratulations Mr. Harper on your idiotic political posturing. I remember a story from a documentary somewhere that Pierre Elliott Trudeau criticized one of his sons for arguing against a person by calling our their personality and not liking the person. Trudeau’s counter point was that one should counter the argument but not criticize the person - the reference at that time was Rene Levesque.
I tend to agree with the sentiment, but in your case and in the case of many of your fellow neoCons, I have reached the point where I simply don’t like you as a person because what you do and say becomes who you are.
So who are you? At this point in time you are one of the chief terrorists of the western world sucking at the teat of American imperialism. You support neoNazis in the Ukraine. You support al-Qaeda in Syria. You support dictatorial misogynist monarchies in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Your words are all hypocrisy and double standards while you rest as a chicken hawk in Ottawa, never having gone to any battle ground yourself other than to glorify your Napoleanesque megalomaniac posturing of self identified greatness. You argue against human rights in other countries yet here at home your racist position towards the first nations is obvious.
When the air force returned from bombing Libya, you gave them a hero’s welcome in the Senate chambers - sure darn glad you bombed Libya, after all, it was a no fly zone - so how well did that turn out? There too, most of the ‘rebels’ were related to al Qaeda. Saved the U.S. empire again, no more Chinese encroaching on the oil wealth, no more independent countries to counter the U.S. fiat dollar hegemony on global finances. Not my heros - mine don’t fly against essentially defenceless countries and bomb infrastructure and unknown persons in what was supposed to be a ‘no fly zone’.
And now you have our glorified flyboys somewhere in Eastern Europe as a show of support for your neoNazi friends in the Ukraine. Sure good thing those thirty-nine Ukrainians protesters were burned, gassed, or shot to death in Odessa the other day. Must make your good little Nazi heart-beat give you a rush. As Obama your mentor said, good thing they are showing “remarkable restraint” - or is it “proportional punishment” for assuming the democratic right of protesting against a government? Murdering trapped civilian protesters is hardly showing restraint.
And screw democracy, it really gets in the way of geopolitics. It’s bad enough to pretend to have it at home, but worse to pretend to support it when neoNazis overthrow a duly elected (if corrupt) government. Which of course makes the “rebels” in eastern Ukraine a bunch of terrorists...but who are they rebelling against? There is no elected government, only one that is in place as the result of an armed putsch, a semi-military coup, supported by the CIA/NSA/ NED/et al, making them a non-democratic junta! If democracy was your true goal, and not geopolitical goals based on the U.S. empire’s hegemonic petro-dollar drive, these “rebels” would certainly not be terrorists, more akin to Ronald Reagan’s “freedom fighters”.
What you are fighting for of course, is support of the new Nazi junta against Russia all in support of Zbigniew Brzezinski’s wet dream of “full spectrum dominance” in a world created by the Project for a New American Century that allows no infringement upon U.S. imperial hegemony anywhere in the world.
It is quite sad to see your ‘democratic’ caucus acting in unison as they praise you, Dear Leader, for whatever rhetorical statements you make. To see so many without any ability to think independently themselves is a sad sight for democracy.
I do not for a moment believe that my comments directed your way will have any effect on you or your minions, and you will probably pass them off as a rant by some ‘radical extremist’. Without capabilities for critical analysis and a narrow right wing perspective on the world, a typical conservative mindset that fears the ‘other’ and needs to find recourse in endless talking points, repetitive homilies, and meaningless slogans that appeal to the equally mindless and fearful, any comments against your views are simply barricaded out.
Don’t trust my words? Try these:
The most controversial element of the anti-government alliance is Svoboda (Freedom), an extreme right-wing political party that not only has representation in parliament, but has been dubbed by its critics as a neo-Nazi organization. Britain’s Channel 4 News reported that Svoboda has assumed a “leading role” in the street protests in Kiev, with affiliated paramilitary groups prominently involved in the disturbances. Svoboda flags and banners have been featured in the demonstrations at Kiev’s Independence Square. During the continuing street riots, one Svoboda MP, Igor Myroshnychenko, created an iconic moment of sorts when he allegedly helped to topple the statue of Vladimir Lenin outside a government building, followed by its occupation by protesters.
However, despite its extremist rhetoric, Svoboda cannot be called a "fringe" party – indeed, it currently occupies 36 seats in the 450-member Ukrainian parliament, granting it status as the fourth-largest party in the country. Further, Svoboda is linked to other far-right groups across Europe through its membership in the Alliance of European National Movements, which includes the British National Party (BNP) of the United Kingdom and Jobbik, the neo-fascist, anti-Semitic and anti-Roma party of Hungary. The leader of Svoboda, Oleh Tyahnybok, who has appeared at the Kiev protests, has a long history of making inflammatory anti-Semitic statements, including the accusation during a 2004 speech before parliament that Ukraine is controlled by a “Muscovite-Jewish mafia.” Miroshnychenko also called the Ukrainian-born American film actress Mila Kunis a “dirty Jewess.”
Tyahnybok has also claimed that “organized Jewry” dominate Ukrainian media and government, have enriched themselves through criminal activities and plan to engineer a “genocide” upon the Christian Ukrainian population. Another top Svoboda member, Yuriy Mykhalchyshyn, a deputy in parliament, often quotes Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, as well as other Third Reich luminaries like Ernst Rohm and Gregor Strasser.
